Keepin' it Simple
The P.O. Wheelee is designed to help you cartop load and offload a canoe from the rear of the vehicle.
- With the wheels of the attached cart resting on the ground, you lift the free end up and perch it on the rear roof rack bar.
- Then, keeping the canoe centered on the bar, slide it forward until it can be lowered to rest evenly on both bars.
Once you've learned the procedure and a couple of my useful tips, I'm sure you'll agree there is no easier way to cartop a canoe.
Rolling Inverted
With the P.O. Wheelee design, you roll the canoe in the inverted position. This works great for the short to medium portages most of us do, and is the ideal position for going on and off of the car. If you are portaging for longer distances, ask for my tips.
Easy On and Off. Look Ma, no straps!
The P.O. Wheelee's skeletonized aluminum frame is compact and form fitting. It clamps snugly over the canoe's deck (usually the stern) and can remain on the canoe while paddling.
Mounting or dismounting takes one minute or less.
The frame is precision-fit to your canoe, and cushioned to protect the deck and gunwales.
High Quality Materials:
- Aircraft grade aluminum frame
- Stainless steel hardware
- Northern White Ash clamps
- Tough nylon composite wheels, cross tire with thornproof tubes. American made by the world leader in BMX wheels.
Because the P.O. Wheelee is made to fit your canoe, I will need to verify some measurements with you. Some canoes may require 2-3 photos and a pattern.
Making my cart is similar to making a custom shoe. Like the shoemaker, I work from measurements and patterns, and will guide you in your part of the process (it's easy to do). The result will be a good fitting cart that will make your canoe outings much more pleasurable.
The P.O. Wheelee sells for $219.00 plus shipping to the customers address.
